Sisters travel from Porterville for fun studio session

What’s better than having 1 sister? Having 2 sisters! I have known all three girls since they were born and boy, I mean girl, I cannot believe how they have grown! Still as sweet as ever, when Mom came to visit she just had to bring them by our new children’s studio for their very own portrait session. They weren’t really sure if that’s how they wanted to spend their afternoon but once the older siblings saw how much fun the youngest was having, they were eager to join in. Now they ask Mom every day “when can we go see Angi again?” Soon, I hope, because I’m not sure who had more fun, me or them! I think it is so sad that the gradeschool and jr high ages often get overlooked for the custom portrait experience. I guess it’s because parents don’t think beyond the yearly school photo until they are a senior in high school. But really, do these look like regular ol’ school photos to you? Don’t miss out on these wonder years, schedule a studio or location session for your pre-teen before it’s too late.

Sister Portraits

Capturing sisterly love and silliness

Mom brought these sisters in to create extra special birthday portraits of her youngest daughter. She wanted something simple, yet beautiful and classic. Together we designed this session to create these timeless portraits of her daughter’s which she fell in love with and will be framing in some of her grandmother’s frames to display a beautiful and sweet wall collage.

Test Shots in new studio: Keeping it simple, fresh and fun

We are finally in our new studio and up and running! While Mark was adding some finishing touches I set up the lights and bribed Levi away from Ice Age to take a few test shots for me. Although I have a big collection of backdrops I decided to just shoot on our newly painted walls and wood floor to see how they would look. I must say, I’m quite pleased with the outcome. For something simple, clean and non-destracting I think this will be a great option to incorporate during sessions. Since bribery only goes so far I was not able to play around with the natural lighting with this little guy. Looks like I’ll be grabbing another willing model at another time.

Beautiful Fall Family

Beautiful family, beautiful Fall light and VOILA! Gorgeous family portraits to truly cherish throughout the many years to come. Getting to know this family and their 4 children was truly a blessing. Each child is at a different stage in their life and throughout the hour and a half session on location their playful, gentle, reserved, loving and energetic personalities really shone through. Mom and Dad chose the family portrait below as their large custom framed image to grace their home in an area where they will enjoy it every day. Don’t miss an opportunity to capture your family at different stages.
